This is an entry-level, part-time role ideal for someone who wants hands-on training in pest control and a path toward becoming a licensed technician. You'll work alongside our experienced exterminators on residential and commercial jobs, learning inspection techniques, treatment methods, and customer service from the ground up.
Schedule: 15–20 hours/week, weekdays Pay: $17–$19/hour, based on experience License/Vehicle: A valid driver's license is required; a company vehicle will be provided for jobs
What You'll Do
- Assist senior technicians with inspections and treatments for common pests (ants, cockroaches, wasps, rodents, bed bugs, and wildlife)
- Help set up and apply pest control equipment and materials under supervision
- Prepare and maintain service vehicles, tools, and supplies before and after jobs
- Support with basic exclusion work (sealing entry points, setting traps/bait stations)
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients on-site
- Keep accurate notes on job details, treatments applied, and follow-up needs
- Follow all health, safety, and Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) guidelines
What We're Looking For
- A valid Ontario driver's license (it's a ride-along position but may need it in cases of material pickup)
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other tight or outdoor environments
- Able to lift equipment and supplies (up to ~25 lbs) and stand/move for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- No prior pest control experience required with training provided
- An interest in eventually pursuing MECP licensing/certification is a plus
