Abbie Chatfield has complained about being 'trolled so hard' after winning I'm A Celebrity Australia as she leant her support to 2024 champion Skye Wheatley.

The reality TV star, 28, took to Instagram to slam wild social media speculation that Skye's victory was 'rigged' as she sent her support to the influencer, 30.

Abbie reflected on being trolled 'so hard' herself after winning the reality TV show in 2021 and claimed 'young women' always come under fire for their successes.

She insisted nobody 'bats an eyelid' when men are crowned winners of the Channel Ten series as she rubbished the rampant social media criticism of Skye.

Abbie penned: 'Funny how every time a young woman with a large social media platform wins I'm A Celebrity Australia people claim that it's rigged.

'As though it isn't a popularity contest by definition... so the more social media coverage you have, the most likely you are to win???

'When I won I got trolled SO HARD. Guys maybe vote more if you didn't want me/Skye to win? But when a middle-aged man wins no one bats an eyelid???'

Abbie was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2021, beating runners-up Grant Denyer and Jess Eva, and slammed claims that she 'didn't deserve' to win at the time.

This year, Skye soared to victory and was crowned the 2024 I'm A Celebrity Australia champion, winning out against Tristan MacManus and Callum Hole in Sunday's final.

The former Big Brother Australia star broke down in tears after walking away with the coveted Queen of the Jungle title and $100,000 for her chosen charity, Bully Zero.

'I am so blessed to ever have experienced that. Thank you to everyone here for having me,' she said. 

'I'm really shocked. I will say it again - I feel absolutely blessed to have had this opportunity and to go through the things that I went through and to do it for these three amazing boys and the rest of the world.

'I feel the whole journey, the whole experience has taught me so many things. I cannot wait to apply those in my every day life.'
