LMAO. As I suspected, some of the weirdness I was getting from my (virtual) therapist around body size was that it’s very hard to tell how fat I am if you can only see me from the shoulders up on a webcam.I had to explain that no, when I say I’m fat I mean I’M FAT. I mean like not all chairs and cars can accommodate me, I am outside the weight limit of most furniture and exercise equipment and some medical equipment, I can generally only find clothes that fit online or in plus size/big and tall stores, and it is the first thing most people notice about me and the primary thing I experience street harassment about. I am political about it because anti-fat bias materially affects me whenever I leave the house or need to buy something my body needs to sit on or fit inside of, not because I feel weird about not being actively skinny.
