The following Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) service updates may affect travel to and from UWM. Information is organized by the date the change took effect and includes ongoing impacts that remain in effect.

• GreenLine (Bayshore – Airport)
  The GreenLine continues to experience delays due to the Oakland Avenue Reconstruction Project in Shorewood between Capitol Drive and Hampton Avenue. Riders traveling to and from UWM should allow additional travel time, particularly during peak periods.

• Route 44U
  Route 44U continues to operate on a detour due to the closure of the eastbound 68th Street entrance ramp to I-94. Service to the State Fair Park & Ride is maintained. Trip schedules have been adjusted to accommodate longer travel times.
• Route 30 (Sherman – Wisconsin)
  Route 30 may experience delays along Wisconsin Avenue due to the Wisconsin I-94 East-West Project. MCTS has added time to the schedule to help maintain reliability.

No significant service changes have been announced for the following routes that also serve the UWM area:

• RedLine
• Route 21 (North Avenue)

The following ongoing construction projects may affect riders traveling to destinations throughout Milwaukee County.

• CONNECT 1 BRT
  May experience delays along Wisconsin Avenue and Bluemound Road due to the I-94 East-West Project. Additional time has been added to schedules.
• Route 60
  Continues to detour off 60th Street between Main Street and Bluemound Road because of I-94 construction. The detour is expected to remain in place until late 2028.
• Route 76
  May experience delays along 68th Street, 70th Street, Kearny Street, O’Connor Street, and North 76th Street due to ongoing construction projects.
• Route 35
  Continues to operate on detour related to National Avenue reconstruction and may experience delays associated with I-94 construction traffic.
• Route 24
  Continues to detour around the 16th Street Bridge over the Menomonee River Valley. The detour is expected to remain in place through Fall 2026.
• Route 18
  Continues eastbound detours off National Avenue using Greenfield Avenue between Miller Parkway and Layton Boulevard.
• PurpleLine
  Continues to detour from 27th Street between Clybourn Street and National Avenue because of the I-94 East-West Project. The detour is expected to continue through late 2027.
• Route 12
  May experience delays on Teutonia Avenue and Sherman Boulevard due to ongoing road construction.
• Route 63
  May experience delays due to construction on Silver Spring Drive between 27th Street and Milwaukee River Parkway.
• Route 80
  Continues to detour at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, serving a temporary stop near the north end of departures.
