Honor’s most recent innovative smartphone, the Honor Robot Phone, has officially launched, and it brings impressive camera and AI capabilities. Over the past few months, this device has been the talk of the town, making headlines globally.

With this new device, Honor debuts its 4-DoF Titanium Agile Gimbal camera and ARRI Image Science. This new device uses an ultra-compact 4-DoF mechanical system which features Honor’s in-house Titanium Agile Gimbal system.

According to the smartphone manufacturer, this system was developed through 60 manufacturing processes and more than 100 precision components. This reduces the overall gimbal size on the Honor Robot Phone by up to 65% in comparison with other traditional gimbal systems without compromising strength.

The ARRI Image System on this device was developed specifically for this device through a strategic partnership between ARRI and Honor. This system combines ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks with the HONOR H1 Image Chip to give the smartphone camera system professional cinema capabilities.

Honor introduced the YOYO Agent last year with the launch of the Magic8 series. With the new Robot Phone, it took things a step further with the YOYO Robot Mode, which is capable of multimodal perception, contextual understanding, gesture recognition, and physical movement.

It can also perform AI Subject Tracking and voice source localisation; all of these are made possible with Honour’s MagicOS. The device also relies on the gimbal camera system to help YOYO achieve these abilities.

Through this, cinematic movement modes like Tilt Lock, First Person View (FPV), FPV Vertical and AI SpinShot are made possible. Honor markets this feature for creators looking to step up their content creation game.

While the gimbal feature on this device is impressive, it isn’t the only thing that makes the device stand out. Honor also packed this device with flagship-level specifications.

Just like with other smartphones, pricing of the Honor Robot Phone is based on storage configuration. There are two storage configurations on this device: 12GB+512GB, which retails for RMB 9,999 and 16GB+1TB (~$1482), which retails for RMB 12,999 (~$1927).

Pre-orders have already kicked off, and the official sale of this new device will commence on August 18, 2026. This device will first be made available in China before making its way to other regions.
