Fresh defence orders put Sigma Advanced Systems in focus after a sharp three-month rally.

Sigma Advanced Systems shares rallied nearly 5% to Rs 658.45 in Tuesday’s trading session after the defence technology company announced orders worth approximately Rs 155 crore for its Indrajaal Ranger anti-drone system from government security agencies.

The latest order win comes at a time when the stock has already delivered a multibagger 105% return in just three months, putting the defence stock firmly in the spotlight.

Indrajaal Autonomous Defence Systems and Sigma Advanced Systems announced approximately Rs 155 crore of orders for the Indrajaal Ranger from the Government of India.

Of the total, a Rs 145 crore order has been awarded to the Indrajaal-Sigma consortium to deploy the system in India’s border security environment. Another order worth approximately Rs 10 crore from urban police authorities will introduce the Ranger platform for VVIP protection and urban security.

The company said the two deployments go beyond conventional Counter-UAS procurement and mark the emergence of a new homeland security category, the Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle.

The Indrajaal Ranger is described as India’s only ARDTC-approved Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle. Developed as a mobile Counter-UAS platform, the system is designed to provide anti-drone protection while moving at high speeds.

Unlike conventional fixed-site counter-drone systems, Ranger is designed to take protected airspace wherever it is required, from international borders and VVIP routes to public events and critical infrastructure.

The growing need for mobile protection comes as drone-related threats become increasingly dynamic. Whether it involves drones carrying contraband across borders, VVIP convoys moving through cities or security requirements at large public gatherings, the threat itself is no longer confined to fixed locations.

The company currently has an order book of approximately Rs 8,000 crore, providing strong revenue visibility going forward.

Sunil Kalidindi, CEO of Sigma Advanced Systems, said the programme highlights the capabilities of India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem to develop and deliver indigenous technologies at operational scale.

He added that the milestone strengthens Sigma’s strategic partnership with Indrajaal and supports India’s border and urban security requirements with a next-generation capability.

The latest order announcement adds another trigger to a stock that has already delivered a stellar run. Sigma Advanced Systems shares have surged approximately 105% over the past three months. The company currently commands a market capitalisation of around Rs 11,878 crore, while its 52-week high stands at Rs 725.95.

At Rs 658.45, the stock remains below its 52-week peak but has continued to attract attention following its sharp recent rally and a string of defence-related business developments.

From a technical perspective, the stock’s 14-day RSI stands at 51.4, placing it in neutral territory. An RSI below 30 is generally viewed as oversold, while a reading above 70 is considered overbought. This suggests that despite the stock’s sharp three-month rally, the RSI itself is not currently indicating an overbought condition.

The technical setup also remains relatively positive, with Sigma Advanced Systems trading above 6 of its 8 key simple moving averages (SMAs), indicating an overall bullish trend structure.

For the June 2026 quarter, Sigma Advanced Systems reported revenue of approximately Rs 379 crore, representing a robust 102.3% year-on-year growth. Net profit for the quarter stood at around Rs 24 crore.
