Dangote Industries Limited, Zenith Bank Plc, Wema Bank Plc and several other organisations have been named among The Industry Newspaper’s 2026 Top 50 Nigerian Companies of Impact for their contributions to economic growth, innovation and national development.
The annual ranking, now in its fourth edition, recognises companies that have demonstrated resilience despite economic challenges while investing in innovation, infrastructure, people and communities.
The Editor-in-Chief of The Industry Newspaper, Goddie Ofose, said the 2026 edition has its as theme: Building Resilience, Driving Growth: Nigerian Companies Shaping the Next Decade.”
He said this year’s list features companies across banking and financial services, energy, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods, retail, technology, media, healthcare, logistics, advertising and experiential marketing.
Other companies on the list include Fidelity Bank Plc, BUA Foods Plc, Seplat Energy, Parallex Bank among others.
According to Ofose, more than 300 nominations were evaluated using criteria such as financial performance, innovation, job creation, corporate governance, customer impact, sustainability, local content and contribution to national development.
He said the companies collectively created or sustained over 500,000 direct and indirect jobs in the last 12 months while expanding financial inclusion, strengthening local manufacturing and increasing investment in environmental, social and governance, ESG, initiatives.
“The companies on this year’s list chose to build rather than retreat despite prevailing economic headwinds. They are investing in technology, creating jobs, supporting local content and laying the foundation for Nigeria’s long-term prosperity,” Ofose said.
