Composite retail outlet, Konga in partnership with computer and mobile devices manufacturer, ASUS, on Monday opened West Africa’s first ASUS flagship experience store in Lagos to bring ASUS devices closer to more Nigerians.
The store, located at Computer Village,Ikeja, was commissioned by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, who described the development as a boost to Nigeria’s digital economy and innovation ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Udeh said the opening of the store was more than the launch of a retail outlet, describing it as “a strong vote of confidence to Nigeria’s innovation, science and technology ecosystem and the immense potential of its market by a global technology brand.”
He added that stronger collaboration between the government and the private sector would be critical to achieving Nigeria’s ambition of building a private sector-driven economy.
ASUS EMEA General Manager, Aaron Tsai, said the experience store was established to give customers direct access to authentic ASUS products while strengthening the company’s partnership with Konga in the region.
According to him, “the store was conceived to provide consumers with direct access to authentic ASUS products.”
Chief Operating Officer of Konga Group, Dave Omoregie, said the partnership reflects Konga’s commitment to providing Nigerian consumers with authentic technology products through its nationwide retail and logistics network.
He said the collaboration demonstrates what is possible when global technology brands partner with Nigerian companies to deliver quality products and reliable after-sales support to customers.
The experience store features ASUS laptops, gaming devices, AI-powered computers and interactive digital displays that allow customers to explore products before making purchase decisions. Customers will also enjoy expert support services and a one year replacement warranty on eligible ASUS devices purchased through the store or Konga’s online platform.
