The paper 'Expressive probabilistic description logics', by Thomas Lukasiewicz, is currently one of the top 10 cited articles (published in the last five years) in the journal Artificial Intelligence.

Also by Thomas Lukasiewicz, 'Probabilistic description logic programs', is currently one of the top 20 cited  articles (published in the last five years) in the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.

Thomas's papers receive a citation when another published work references (cites) Thomas's paper in their own work. They are thereby recognizing that Thomas's paper has contributed information that helped in the creation of the new paper. In practical terms, this means that other members of the Computer Science community are actively using and benefiting from the research carried out by Thomas.
