The results of the 2017 teaching excellence framework (TEF) are out and the University of Oxford achieved the top Gold rating. It is one of only 45 institutions to do so.
The TEF is a government-backed assessment of undergraduate teaching quality across all higher education institutions in England, which also includes some institutions in Scotland and Wales.
