Padma Reddy, Research Facilitation Manager, has received an MPLS Professional Services Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to research development and support.
The award is one of four new Professional Services Award categories introduced by the MPLS division for 2025/26 to recognise and celebrate excellence.
Padma has been recognised for the breadth and impact of her work in strengthening research development across the department. Her strategic approach to research facilitation has helped colleagues secure major research funding whilst building more sustainable support for future research activity.
Padma’s work spans securing research funding for the department and cultivating strong relationships with research funders and Industry partners to create new opportunities for innovation and impact. The awarding board praised her proactive approach, noting that she consistently encourages researchers to think ambitiously, collaborate widely and maximise the impact of their work. They also highlighted Padma's strategic vision, collaborative approach, and commitment to supporting researchers, recognising the significant contribution she has made to the department's research success.
I am honoured and humbled by the nominations and the award. The trust that our brilliant research community and the management in Computer Science place in me and the incredible support provided to me inspires me to be better at what I do. My achievement is not possible without the support of my team and all my colleagues in the department and the wider University and I am extremely grateful for them.
