The Historical Society of Oak Creek and Phippsburg is hosting a new “Whoa! Hold Your Horses!” event on Sept. 3 at the Colorado Bar in Oak Creek.

Tickets are $50 and include food, entertainment and fun and is benefitting the society. Festivities include a silent and live auction, music and dancing and performances by Joe Ghiglia and Randy Kelley of “The Naturals.

Other Labor Day weekend activities include tours of the Tracks and Trails Museum and a guest speak on the history of KFMU Radio Station when it was wind powered in the 1970s-1980s in Oak Creek.
