Deep and powerful emotions from history are written in this song and so are ours in what we made of it, all of us who participated in this project. This song is a part of compilation “Horns of Veles”, compiled by Indra who connected us all in this beautiful story. “Fyaka” features a traditional Dalmatian klapa song “Kod Lepanta” which sings about huge Battle of Lepanto that happened on 7th of October 1571. where major Catholic powers of southern Europe gathered as Holy League and stood against Ottoman Empire to break their control over the Mediterranean sea. The lyrics translated to English: Mourn your brothers, mourn your husbands, Foreign depths took their youth. Those who live bear still greater shame, Chained to foreign oars. Where are your plowed fields now? There’s only orphan children, seeking their fathers. Oh land, planted hundred times over, Bodies, resurrected hundred times over. Will the sea ever wash your bones up the shores of your homeland? Your white bones. Or will it drag me down to your halls? Your quiet halls.
