ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of an Accomack County man Tuesday evening.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:48 p.m. on Saxis Road near Hammock Road, according to state police.

Troopers said a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Saxis Road when the rider lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway.
After leaving the road, the motorcycle struck a guardrail, investigators said.
Rider pronounced dead at the sceneVirginia State Police identified the rider as Christopher J. Taylor, 47, of Temperanceville.
Taylor died at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
Investigation remains ongoingState police have not released additional details regarding what may have caused the motorcycle to leave the roadway.
The fatal crash remains under investigation.
