Domestic Dispute Led to Criminal ChargesThe investigation stems from an incident reported shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 2, 2024, at the Woodbridge Station Apartments in the 1500 block of Constellation Place.
Officers responded to the apartment complex to investigate a domestic dispute and learned that Flores Gutierrez had allegedly forced his way into the residence of an acquaintance.
Police said the suspect then brandished a knife toward a 43-year-old man who was inside the apartment.
Phone Destroyed, Suspect Fled SceneDuring the confrontation, Flores Gutierrez allegedly broke the victim’s cellphone before leaving the residence, according to investigators.
Despite a search involving patrol officers and a police K-9 unit, authorities were unable to locate the suspect that night. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants charging Flores Gutierrez in connection with the case.
Arrest Made in AlexandriaPolice said multiple attempts to locate the suspect over the following months were unsuccessful.
The search ended on June 3 when Alexandria City Police arrested Flores Gutierrez. Authorities have not released additional details regarding where he was located or the circumstances surrounding the arrest.
