Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition is the newly announced definitive edition of the PS5 game that originally launched on October 2, 2025. Ahead of the game’s one-year anniversary, PlayStation has announced the Complete Edition, which adds a new narrative expansion and a new single-player combat survival mode alongside previously released content.

In March 2026, PlayStation added Ghost of Yōtei: Legends multiplayer mode as a free online co-op mode for Ghost of Yōtei owners. The announcement also continues the growing list of major PS5 gaming releases arriving on Sony’s console platform. Now, PlayStation is adding Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara and Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted to the lineup.

The new content will be included in what PlayStation calls the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition.

For gamers curious about what the new content is bringing to the Ghost of Yōtei lineup, PlayStation has shared some details. Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara is a narrative expansion that explores the backstory of the main character Atsu.

The storyline will take players to Atsu’s past, where she’ll reunite with Nagato, a character who has just arrived in Ezo. Players will also experience Atsu’s time during the Battle of Sekigahara; this battle shaped her quest for vengeance.

The storyline will also return players to the present, where they’ll explore an unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his gang, The Vipers. Echoes of Sekigahara promises to introduce players to new enemies, weapons, armour sets, dyes, and more.

As for Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted, this will be a single-player combat survival mode, described as Sucker Punch’s take on a roguelike experience. The mode follows the growing popularity of single-player gaming experiences where players engage in missions by accepting bounties to track down enemies.

This earns them perks as well as the ability to unlock new characters that they can play as. Some of the characters that players will come across in this mode include Atsu, the main character, Oyuki, and Nagato, whom they get introduced to in Atsu’s past with Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara.

Aside from the addition of the narrative expansion and combat survival mode to the Ghost of Yōtei lineup, the Complete Edition is bringing more to the existing content.

PlayStation says that the Complete Edition is adding new tracks for the Watanabe Mode, new Photo Mode stamps, and additional cosmetics for New Game+.

There are also updates including the Beauty of Yōtei mode, which lets players access a screensaver-like view of Ezo that can be set as a wallpaper while not playing. Players will also be able to keep the appearance of armor sets they find while using the stats of a different set during gameplay.

All of this will be coming alongside the Complete Edition; players who already own Ghost of Yōtei will get some of these quality-of-life additions through a free patch available on October 1, 2026. Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition brings together the base game and additional content, while Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted arrive on October 1, 2026.

Players who are new to Ghost of Yōtei will be able to purchase the Complete Edition for $69.99.

This purchase will include Ghost of Yōtei, Ghost of Yōtei: Legends, Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, and Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted content.

Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei can upgrade to the Complete Edition for $14.99.

By upgrading, they’ll get access to the two new content additions, Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara and Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted.

Players who purchase the Complete Edition before September 30, 2026, will get early unlock access to the Sakai Armour, which is a throwback to the family armour of Jin, the main character in Ghost of Tsushima coverage.
