Five arrested after weapons call at FWISD high school

O.D. Wyatt High School was briefly placed under a lockdown on Monday after a student took a photo of himself with a firearm on campus, Fort Worth ISD said.
A release from the Fort Worth Police Department said officers were dispatched Monday afternoon. They were told a group of five juveniles were seen in a picture taken inside the school with a firearm.
Police say the individuals believed to be involved were detained and are currently in custody. FWPD said four of the five were juveniles. A fifth suspect, 18-year-old Lucio Garcia was also arrested and has been charged with making a terroristic threat.
FWPD said Garcia was in possession of the gun, but it has not yet been recovered.
This is still an active investigation and police say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Monday marked FWISD’s first day of school since the state took over.
