Apple has bagged a deal for an OLED Display priced lower for the iPhone 18. Samsung and LG will be paid by Apple $68 per panel made for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. The price has been cut down from $110-$120.

Apple is aggressively pushing for lower prices for displays in the midst of a shortage in memory chips from AI data centers being made. The imbalance in supply and demand has resulted in the prices surging upwards.

By getting a deal for lower-priced components, they are able to somewhat offset the increased prices but the upcoming devices are said to be more expensive than the previous model by about $200-$300. Apple increased the prices across its devices.

The foldable iPhone is going to be released alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models next month.
