They felt an immediate attraction at their wedding, and on Thursday's episode of Married At First Sight Alana Lister revealed she'd consummated her marriage to Jason Engler.

Waking up in bed together on their honeymoon on the NSW South Coast, Jason, 35, shyly asked Alana if she'd enjoyed the previous night.

Alana, 30, cheekily laughed at his question, suggesting she had, before struggling with her words during an interview with the show's producers. 

'Last night we kind of, um, we went to the...' she began, before bursting out laughing. 

She continued: 'Well, last night, we, like, we had the next level of... Well, we had... Last night, we were, like, together.'

Finally, Alana conceded that there was no easy way to say it, revealing that she and Jason had been intimate. 

'Maybe I'll just say it. So, we had sex last night,' she said bluntly.

As they laid beside each other in bed, Alana turned and asked Jason if he felt 'different' after the previous night. 

'I'm like a cheshire cat. Can't stop grinning, to be honest with you. I've been laughing and carrying on,' he later told the show's producers.

But Alana admitted she had some concerns about whether they'd bond on a deeper level despite their sexual chemistry.  

'I think we connect really well, like, sexually. But now, I want to get to know him a lot more,' she added. 

'It's definitely important to work on communication, because this is the kind of stuff that I always want and crave, but I've never been able to find, and I really want this to be different.'
