Will Best is overcome with emotion on Saturday's episode of Celebrity Catchphrase - where host Stephen Mulhern rushes to console him.

While the reason for the Big Brother star's tears has not been disclosed, ITV announced that he would be playing for a charity close to his heart.

Arts for All is a London-based initiative that aims to give everyone the chance to pursue creativity, regardless of their background.

A source said: 'There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

'Will is such a lovely guy and everyone really empathised with him when he broke down.

'It's such a fun show to be a part of but it can also be quite intense under those bright studio lights, so emotions are heightened.'

He said of his chosen charity: 'They're a super small charity based just down the road from where I live.

'They do art projects and art sessions for adults with disabilities and learning difficulties, and for kids who wouldn't get access to that kind of stuff [normally].

'There's a really small group of adults who go twice a week, every week and it's genuinely a lifeline for them. In the last year, their rent has gone up by 150%.

'The cost of living is really hitting them and grants are harder to come by because of cuts. The charity is a tiny team - it's just a couple of people who run it.'

The popular show challenges contestants to 'say what they see' based on a series of increasingly complex graphics that represent catchphrases.

There is a top prize of up to £50,000.

News of the Will's emotional moment comes after Olivia Attwood lost out on winning the top prize on the show last year.

Olivia Attwood 's attempts to bag a whopping £50,000 on Celebrity Catchphrase sadly slipped through her fingers thanks to a particularly tricky question in the final round

While Olivia, best known for her stint on Love Island, got off to a flying start on the show, she was left baffled by a tennis-themed graphic in the final round

While Olivia, best known for her stint on Love Island, got off to a flying start on the show, she was left baffled by a tennis-themed graphic in the final round.

It featured a tennis ball fearing a judge's wig and two rackets in the dock of a courtroom.

Hazarding a guess, Olivia said 'playing both sides' before ultimately passing on the tricky question.

But are you able to guess the answer?

Unfortunately, in this instance, the graphic was perhaps deceptively complicated as the required answer was simply 'tennis court'.

The new season of Celebrity Catchphrase airs on Saturday at 5:50pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
