Honda has confirmed new Pioneer SXS1000 Deluxe three-seat and five-seat models for the Australian market in the second half of 2026, with an Elite Cab variant to join them. Final Australian pricing, detailed local specifications and accessory listings are still to come.

This is more than a light model-year refresh. Honda’s 2026 model information describes the Pioneer 1000 update as the first major overhaul of the platform in a decade, bringing new styling, throttle-by-wire, new drive modes, cruise control, a variable-speed limiter, improved EPS, LED headlights, a new 5-inch display, and an updated Pro-Connect bed. The newly formed ROPS is also intended to improve accessory integration, and a roof is now standard on the open-cab Deluxe models.

For Australian rural and commercial users, the real story is how those changes should improve day-to-day usability. Tow-Haul mode, smoother DCT operation, variable-speed control for low-speed work, and easier accessory integration all point to a machine pitched as much for spraying, towing, and property duties as for recreational use.

The new Elite sits above that as the more premium option. Honda’s released 2026 information shows it with a sealed, insulated cab, heating and air-conditioning, an infrared-absorbing glass windscreen with push-button wiper, a rear sliding window, interior lighting and i-4WD.

At this stage, Honda’s broader 2026 model material presents the Elite as a three-seater, while the open-cab Deluxe remains available in both three-seat and five-seat form. The three-seat Deluxe model is 1626 mm wide and has a kerb weight of 808 kg, while the five-seat Deluxe weighs 871 kg.

Preliminary 2026 spec sheets for the Deluxe variants show a 999 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin with a six-speed automatic DCT, 230 mm hydraulic disc brakes, 30.7-litre fuel capacity and a claimed towing capacity of 1134 kg.
