Later this year, Marvel will return to action on Disney+ with the release of the long-awaited VisionQuest series on Oct. 14, 2026. This show brings Paul Bettany's Vision back to live-action for the first time since 2021's WandaVision, while also completing the trilogy of stories that also includes Agatha All Along. While Marvel has taken its time promoting VisionQuest, releasing trailers only to private audiences at various conventions, the time to begin marketing the show is fast approaching.

Without his longtime co-star Elizabeth Olsen, Bettany will have a host of MCU regulars and newcomers at his side for the next chapter in Vision's journey. This time, he'll do his best to come to grips with his memories from the original Vision's incarnation after having them implanted in his system during the final episode of WandaVision. Marvel has also teased a reunion between Vision and James Spader's Ultron, who brought Bettany's hero to life in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now, roughly 60 days ahead of its debut, Marvel has pulled back the curtain on VisionQuest.
Marvel Television released the first official VisionQuest trailer at the 2026 D23 Expo. Starting with Paul Bettany's Vision in human form before moving to his White Vision body, the trailer teases an insane story that features multiple AI systems from the MCU in their physical forms, including James Spader's return as Ultron. As they are shown seemingly all living and working together, Vision is set for a reunion with his long-lost son Tommy Maximoff/Speed, played by Ruaridh Mollica. From there, Vision tries to regain his memories from his old body and come to terms with his former life — and the people in it.
Just like WandaVision and Agatha All Along before it, VisionQuest embraces the weirdest aspects of the MCU, giving fans a new look at characters that have taken the spotlight for years already. This includes James D'Arcy's return as Jarvis, Kerry Condon's first on-screen appearance as FRIDAY, and, as mentioned before, Spader's uncanny (and very hairy) reprisal of the supervillain Ultron.
The trailer also highlights Vision rewatching his life in theaters on a big screen, hoping to find himself again after his crazy experiences in the Hex and his encounter with the newly developed White Vision android. While much of the specific plotline for this series is still being kept under wraps, it will complete one of the most beloved stories of the MCU's Disney+ era.
VisionQuest starts streaming on Disney+ on Oct. 14, 2026.
