Fans of Bonnie Tyler lined the streets of Mumbles on August 14 to pay respect as the late singer's coffin was transported back to her former home ahead of her funeral on Monday. She will be laid to rest following a celebration of life service and procession.

The "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" hitmaker passed away at the age of 75 in a hospital in Portugal on July 9. Bonnie's fans paid their respects to the late singer as they lined Newton Road, Mumbles, as the coffin was transported to Bonnie's former home in Fernhill. The hearse made its way along Newton Road before continuing onto Mumbles Road. Bonnie will then return to her home in Llwynderw from William Pressdee Funeralcare in Mumbles.

Fans were photographed placing flowers and cards along the road as they mourned the death of the beloved star. A celebration of Bonnie's life will take place at Swansea Minster St Mary's Church on August 17 at 12pm. Entry to the church will be restricted to family, friends, and invited guests only.

The service is expected to last around an hour. Afterwards, the singer will make a final journey through her hometown of Skewen at approximately 1:20 p.m., before a private committal and farewell service for family.

Bonnie passed away "unexpectedly" with a statement shared at the time on the Welsh musicians website. The statement read: "Bonnie's family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for."

In May, Bonnie was placed into an induced coma after having emergency intestinal surgery in a hospital near her home in Faro, Portugal. "We are very sorry to announce that Bonnie has been admitted to hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she has a home, for emergency intestinal surgery. The surgery went well and she is now recuperating. We know that all of her family, friends and fans will be concerned about this news and will be wishing her well for a full and swift recovery." read the social media post at the time.

Two days later, it was revealed that Bonnie  had been put into an induced coma to "aid her recovery". Bonnie's team shared in June that she was no longer in a coma but remained "very unwell and in intensive care in hospital in Portugal."

"Although her condition is improving it is a slow process," a post on her website read. "Her doctors remain confident that she will make a good recovery but it is going to take time."
