The State Level Single Window Clearance Committee, chaired by Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil, on Wednesday approved 83 projects involving a total investment of Rs 6,252.86 crore, officials said.

The projects are expected to create 30,054 jobs across Karnataka, they said.

Of the 83 industrial projects, 69 will come up outside Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts, supporting the state government’s ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ initiative to promote balanced industrial development.

According to a statement from the minister’s office, Patil said 24 projects involving investments of more than Rs 50 crore each accounted for a total investment of Rs 4,702.99 crore and were expected to generate 25,170 jobs.

Another 57 projects, with investments ranging from Rs 15 crore to Rs 50 crore, involved a total investment of Rs 1,291.87 crore and were expected to create 4,884 jobs.

Two projects involving investments of less than Rs 15 crore accounted for Rs 258 crore and were also expected to generate employment, he said.

The approved projects cover a range of sectors, including integrated industrial parks, aerospace and defence manufacturing, food processing, IT services and renewable energy.

Notable projects include Jaswin Ventures Private Limited’s proposed Integrated Industrial Park and Mixed-Use Township in Doddaballapura taluk of Bengaluru Rural district, involving an investment of Rs 475 crore and expected to create 12,000 jobs.

Jampana Construction Private Limited of Bengaluru will develop an Integrated Industrial Park comprising warehousing, logistics, residential and commercial spaces in Doddaballapura taluk, with an investment of Rs 465 crore. The project is expected to generate 2,500 jobs, the statement said.

Other significant projects involve investments by Leafiniti BioEnergy, Blueline Foods India, Sonder Projects and Lands, Arete 22 Limited and Sunstar Precision Forge, among others, it added.
