Disney+ has unveiled the official trailer for the second season of the Hulu Original comedy series ‘Chad Powers,’ bringing Glen Powell’s chaotic football alter ego back to the field for another season of deception, suspicious teammates and increasingly difficult lies to maintain.

In Season 2, Chad Powers has become a superstar on the field, but his bizarre behaviour away from the gridiron is beginning to attract unwanted attention. Coach Jake Hudson and Gerry are growing suspicious, putting even more pressure on Russ Holliday to keep his secret identity under wraps.

With the walls closing in on Russ’s elaborate lie, he and Danny must find a way to keep Chad alive through the regular season and guide the Catfish toward the College Football Playoff. Their unlikely solution leads them to Ricky, the one person who could potentially save Chad but also the last person who wants to help him.

The new season once again stars Glen Powell as Russ Holliday/Chad Powers, alongside Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny and Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson.

Based on the “Eli’s Places” segment from ESPN and Omaha Productions, Chad Powers is a half-hour comedy series co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron.

For Season 2, Eli Manning returns as an executive producer alongside Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown, as well as ESPN’s Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart and Craig Lazarus. Powell also executive produces with his producing partner Dan Cohen under Barnstorm Productions.

The new season of ‘Chad Powers’ premieres on Thursday, September 3, with all six episodes arriving on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.
