​New Engine Upgrades Graphics and Character Movement

JOYCITY said Thursday it has officially launched its new online basketball game, “FreeStyle Reboot”.

​“FreeStyle Reboot” is based on the intellectual property (IP) of the original “FreeStyle,” with its systems and content upgraded for current-generation users. The game uses a new engine to improve graphics quality and character movement.

​The game retains the original’s 3-on-3 real-time matches and street basketball feel while revamping its graphics and competitive systems.

​The competitive system was designed to reduce reliance on item stats. JOYCITY focused on creating a skill-based competitive environment in which players’ control skills and gameplay experience are reflected more directly in match results.

​JOYCITY plans to first establish stable operations in South Korea before gradually expanding the service into global markets, including China.
