Bethenny Frankel has been at the forefront of the health food movement for more than two decades.

From her time as a natural foods chef through to her bestselling book Naturally Thin and her multimillion-dollar Skinnygirl brand, Frankel has turned calorie cutting into an empire.

Now at 55, the former Real Housewives of New York City tells the Daily Mail that her latest venture, the Supermodel Cafe, is 'the next iteration' of her iconic Skinnygirl brand and one of the secrets behind her age-defying physique.

The budding brand, which launched its first pop-up cafe in the Hamptons on Thursday, features healthier alternatives to Frankel's favorite indulgences, like bagels, cheesecakes, and the star's own viral chicken salad.

'The chicken salad is better for you but it doesn't taste like it is and it's so good for you,' she said, adding that her special recipe features 'half the mayonnaise' of a regular chicken salad.

Frankel's Supermodel snacks and recipes are part of her daily diet, but she admits that she still has to watch what she eats given how much on-camera eating she does as part of being a food influencer.

Bethenny Frankel launched the Supermodel Cafe this week, which is part of her new brand of low calorie snacks, spreads, and coffees

'I don't binge. I pick my spots. I try to eat better when it makes sense and if I eat something decadent I'm not eating a tonne of it,' she explained, before stressing the importance of a 'balanced' lifestyle.

'If you feel a little gross or you feel like a dumpster you pull it back. Never let anything get out of hand,' she explained.

'I also never stop moving,' added Frankel, who occasionally does yoga but famously swears that she hates the gym and doesn't ever work out.

'I'm aware of my age and that I'm supposed to be doing weights and I'm supposed to be getting the muscle tone, but I don't know what to tell you. When I can I walk on the beach, the end.'

Frankel showcased her incredible physique back in March by posing in a bikini for Sports Illustrated magazine.

She also strutted her stuff on the runway at Miami Fashion Week, an experience which has undoubtedly helped to inspire her Supermodel brand.

The former Bravo star previously lashed out at her critics after she was body-shamed over the runway show, with some trolls going as far as to compare her body to 'jello'.

Firing back at the time, Frankel said, 'It is jello. I've told you f**king 27,000 times I don't work out. Was I going to do squats for six months? No, because I'm not that vain.'

The 55-year-old never goes to the gym and instead sticks to eating her own Supermodel snacks, walking constantly, and indulging in a 'balanced' way without ever binge eating

The former RHONY star has also posed for Sports Illustrated magazine

Frankel also stressed that she wasn't 'trying to be a model' and was instead focused on 'having fun' on the catwalk.

The RHONY alum has carried this ethos into her Supermodel brand, telling Daily Mail that the name is 'tongue-in-cheek and fun' and not to be taken too seriously.

The first Supermodel Cafe pop-up kicked off on Thursday at 481 Montauk Highway, East Quogue, New York and will be open until September 12.

Fans can get Frankel's 'protein-forward, 150-calorie bagels' which she made in conjunction with Goldberg's bagels, as well as her signature chicken salad.

The menu even boasts two special caviar-laced bagels for over $40; the 'Rage Bait' bagel at $38 and the 'Nepo Baby' bagel at an eye-watering $43.

There's also a gluten-free cheesecake with 10 grams of protein and 102 calories along with six signature lattes, which Frankel concocted alongside her coffee partner Cumulus.

Frankel first entered the spotlight as a contestant on NBC's The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005, where she was the first runner-up.

A few years later she landed on The Real Housewives of New York City, where she became the show's biggest breakout star.

In 2009 she launched Skinnygirl Cocktails, which she sold two years later for a reported $120 million.

She retained the rights to the Skinnygirl brand name outside of alcohol, which she then used on a slew of products including denim, eyewear, deli meats, popcorn, salad dressing, shapewear and more.
