You're made to play as either Aether or Lumine when you first get to Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact, but once you've got your actual team of built-up characters back and are able to roam the Land of Ice and Snow more freely, who should you bring along for the train ride?

Whether it's for their excellent Pyro powers, their ability to trigger elemental reactions with specific other teams, or their excellent navigational skills, these are the ten characters we'd recommend you put in your Genshin Impact party for when you ship off to Snezhnaya yourself in the version 7.0 update.

Varka Bring Him For: Superior Stellar Swirls

Though he took quite a bit of flak when he first debuted back in Nod-Krai, Varka has proved himself quite worthy of the title of the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius now that Snezhnaya has given us such a powerful use for Anemo in conjunction with Cryo afflictions.

Now that we'll be relying so heavily on the Stellar Swirl reaction that happens when Anemo meets an enemy afflicted with Cryo as we explore Snezhnaya, Varka and any other Hexerei characters in your party have a whole new use in Genshin Impact 7.0. Which other elements you have him with will decide your potential elemental reactions, but Varka will be excellent at afflicting them no matter what.

Alyosha Bring Him For: F2P Stellar-Conduct

Not only is Stellar Swirl going to be important as we move into Snezhnaya, but HoYoverse is putting a big emphasis on the other reaction we've recently learned to use, Stellar-Conduct, the combination of Anemo and Electro in combat. Alyosha and his sweet dog Tugarin are just the characters you'll need for the job, especially if you need to keep them off-field to allow your primary DPS units to shine.

As a four-star character, you'll be able to build him up quite well as you whale on the version 7.0 banners, since he's got an increased drop rate while we're in the introductory weeks of the region. All the characters for his suggested team comp for the best Stellar-Conduct teams are on the banner with him, too, or have been in the weeks leading to the debut of Snezhnaya, so you ought to be in pretty good shape as long as you've got the Primos to pull.

Sucrose Bring Her For: Sustained Off-Field Anemo Infliction

There's a reason Sucrose has been so prevalent on the banners throughout the entirety of the 6.0 updates: because her off-field Anemo abilities mean she's a great support unit for practically any elemental team in Genshin Impact.

We didn't put many four-star characters on our list of good characters to bring with you into Snezhnaya in Genshin OImpact, but Sucrose definitely earns her spot. Not only do her abilities provide Anemo support, but they group enemies together for easy application of another element that reacts with it, and with so much emphasis on Stellar Swirl for the 7.0 update, Sucrose is once again a great choice.

Mavuika Bring Her For: Powerful Pyro Reactions

Moving into the final of the seven main regions in Teyvat, we're not quite ready to say goodbye to the previous areas just yet, and part of that is because the Pyro Archon of Natlan, Mavuika, is one of the better Pyro characters to bring with you into Snezhnaya, especially with such strong DPS capabilities when paired with another Natlan character.

Mavuika has long been one of the Pyro meta characters, especially when it comes to DPS characters, and since the Archons typically tend to be more powerful than most, you can bet you're in good hands. Not only is her combat capability worthwhile, but her ability to ride her bike around freely will allow for easier navigation of Snezhnaya, too, even able to go completely vertical up the icy cliffs.

Varesa Bring Her For: Electrifying Stellar-Conduct Reactions

And if you're looking for a good Natlan character to pair with the region's Archon to ensure she stays powerful, then Varesa makes for a great choice, especially with the continued focus on Stellar-Conduct as we move into Snezhnaya if you pair them with characters from the region. Her Electro abilities will be much appreciated no matter which Snezhnaya characters you bring along.

You can use both of these ladies as main DPS units, making them a strong team when used in conjunction, adding Overload into the mix on top of Stellar-Conduct as the focal elemental reaction. Being a plunge attacker certainly doesn't hurt, in terms of her damage output capabilities, either!

Odette Bring Her For: Current Version Cryo Meta Building

When the limited banner features a character on the debut of a whole new region for a gacha game like Genshin Impact, you know they ought to be pretty good, and Odette is right there with the best of them to introduce Snezhnaya as a dancer in the ballet in its capital city of Snezhnograd.

Not only does her strong Cryo output as a sub-DPS character make an impression for any elemental team, but she's specifically well-suited to Stellar teams that make use of the reactions related to the moon you explored back in Nod-Krai. We're excited to see how HoYoverse builds the other new characters around her going forward into Snezhnaya, too!

Arlecchino Bring Her For: Fiery Fatui Strength

Despite the consistent changes to the meta making Arlecchino come and go when it comes to making meta teams in Genshin Impact, this Fatui Harbinger is seeing another Renaissance in Snezhnaya as we come to the home of the Fatui and their commander, the Cryo Archon known as the Tsaritsa.

Though Arlecchino is a bit of a high-risk-high-reward character, since she's only able to heal herself in battle, mastering the ability to do so will give you one of the better Pyro characters we've seen in Genshin Impact in years. Plus, with her presence in the Archon story of Snezhnaya and her return to the banner in the 7.0 launch, bringing her along only feels right.

Bennett Bring Him For: Pyro Buffing

While Bennett might not be one of the best Pyro attackers himself, it's what he brings to the table in terms of teammate buffs that makes him one of the better characters to put in your Snezhnaya team comps for Genshin Impact 7.0, once again returning to the meta to help your other teammates along with his buffs and healing abilities.

If you've got DPS characters in your team that can scale with Attack boosts, then Bennett is easily your guy. One of very few four-star characters we've included in this list, Bennett also fits well with most of the other characters we've mentioned as a general support unit for most Attack-scaling teams (especially with any of the other Pyro characters we suggested).

Sandrone Bring Her For: Stellar-Conduct And DPS

If you managed to pull Sandrone during her run on the banners during the last few versions of Nod-Krai before Snezhnaya debuted, then you've got one of the most versatile Cryo units we've seen in quite a while. When you pair her with the right teammates and make the smartest use of the Stellar-Conduct reaction, you'll see damage outputs to rival any other character you've built to the meta.

Odette and Yae Miko are the current best teammates for Sandrone, since they both give her a staggering Cryo buff, something invaluable for a DPS character like she is. As a former Fatui Harbinger, you'd expect Sandrone to be pretty powerful, and if this is what the Tsaritsa saw in her, then color us impressed as well.

Diluc Bring Him For: The Plot

While Diluc's time as the Pyro meta may have come and gone, it's mostly for the story reasons that we're bringing Diluc along when we venture out into Snezhnaya. We'll be facing off against the Tsaritsa at long last and confronting her for her work with the Fatui, a mission Diluc has long been on himself due to his family history.

After his father was killed by a fake vision given to him by the Fatui, he's been on a mission to eradicate them as well. Diluc debuted in the first version of Genshin Impact and has been one of the more beloved standard five-star characters since then, so why not let him finish out his mission now that we're finally off to Snezhnaya to fight the Fatui as well?
