The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are reprising their roles in the newest installment of the hit Disney Channel movie franchise. Here’s how to stream it

It’s been 18 years since Camp Rock first premiered on the Disney Channel. The movie, which starred the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, went on to draw more than 8.9 million viewers and even sparked a sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Now, the fan-favorite franchise is back, with the original stars reprising their roles in Camp Rock 3.

Set to drop on the Disney Channel at 8 p.m. ET, the latest installment features the Jonas Brothers and includes a cameo from Lovato. According to the official movie synopsis: “When Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour, they return to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise, and friendships are tested — leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances.”

Want to watch the movie but don’t have access to the Disney Channel? Whether you’ve never had cable or, unlike the first time you watched Camp Rock, you no longer have access to your parents’ plan, there are still ways to stream it without signing up for a traditional package.

Your best bet is to take advantage of a free trial from DirecTV, Fubo, or Hulu + Live TV, all of which offer access to live television channels. You can also opt for Sling, which, at the time of this writing, doesn’t offer a free trial but is reasonably priced and easy to use if you’re looking for a cable alternative.

Enthusiasts of the franchise have been waiting years for this drop — Camp Rock 2 was released back in 2010 — and while many of the original fans now have families of their own, that hasn’t stopped them from taking to Reddit to share their excitement. From praising the “fire” description to celebrating Demi Lovato’s return to the screen, audiences are clearly ready to head back to Camp Rock.

If you want to watch Camp Rock 3 without paying for another subscription, the best option is to take advantage of a free trial from DirecTV, Fubo, or Hulu + Live TV while the movie airs on the Disney Channel tonight. For those who would rather stick with a regular Disney+ or Hulu account, the movie will be available to stream tomorrow.

Disney Channel is simple to access for free with DirecTV, since the network is available across all of its base packages, including Entertainment, Choice, Ultimate, and Premier. Once you’re registered, you’ll be able to tune in at 8 p.m. ET sharp and watch Camp Rock 3 as it premieres. After the five-day free trial ends, plans start at $44.99 per month.

Fubo just brought back its free trial, giving viewers another way to watch the Camp Rock 3 premiere without spending a cent. After a quick sign-up process, you can tune in to the movie during your trial period. Once the free trial wraps, plans start at $54.99 per month, with your first month also available at a discounted rate.

While Sling doesn’t currently offer a free trial, that shouldn’t stop you from considering the service, since it’s one of the best cable alternatives out there. Disney Channel is available with Sling Orange as well as the Orange & Blue plan, with prices starting at $45.99 per month. But if you only want to watch Camp Rock 3 tonight, you can opt for a Sling Day Pass starting at just $4.99 — which is cheaper than most movie rentals.

Hulu + Live TV also comes with a free trial, giving you another way to watch Camp Rock 3 right when it premieres. But if you’re willing to wait until tomorrow and already have a Hulu or Disney+ subscription, you’re in luck: The movie will be available to stream on Aug. 14.
