Anthony Joshua's beaten opponent Kristian Prenga has condemned Simon Jordan after he questioned the legitimacy of their bout.

Joshua stopped Prenga in the second round of their heavyweight fight on Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - despite being knocked down twice himself in the first round.

After dropping to the canvas twice in the first round, it looked like the Brit was on course for a shocking defeat until he overcame that major wobble to send Prenga to the floor, making the referee wave off the contest.

Such a dramatic turnaround caused a stir among everyone who watched it - including Simon Jordan who believed there may have been more to the fight than met the eye.

Taking to X, he wrote: 'Not having that … #anthonyjoshua fight... Dropped twice and sets the tempo, how's that ? … Prenga totally different in 2nd.

'Something not quite right , all designed to rinse maximum amount of money...'

However, Prenga has rubbished those claims and hit out at Jordan for his 'completely false and irresponsible' comments.

Speaking to SveaCasino, the Albanian said: 'What do I make of Simon Jordan's comments? Completely false, and irresponsible for anyone to suggest it. AJ and I have integrity; we would never engage in this stupidity.'

'I felt I needed to preserve energy and catch my breath, so I thought I would start slow and replenish my energy. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, and that slower pace allowed AJ to flip control of the fight to him.'

Joshua is now set to fight long-term rival Tyson Fury in a long-awaited British heavyweight showdown at the back end of this year.

And predicting on who will come out on top between those two, Prenga is adamant that Joshua will give Fury the same ending he faced at the weekend.

'It is tough to predict these things [AJ vs. Fury]. I think both are tough and good fighters but AJ knocks Tyson Fury out,' he continued.

'I would fight Tyson any day. He ran his mouth before my fight with AJ. I would welcome showing him my Albanian power in the ring anytime he is ready for it!'
