Knox Jolie-Pitt, the son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has swapped his signature blond for a bold new look — and the timing has drawn attention.
Knox was photographed on Monday leaving a Muay Thai class in Los Angeles, a long way from his usual blond. The new color is red, spiked on top, with the sides shaved down to a bleach-blond layer underneath. In the past, he also dyed it orange.
He kept the rest of the look casual: a graphic T-shirt, athletic shorts, and pink clogs, chatting with a friend as they headed out.
The hair change landed the same day Brad Pitt spoke to Esquire UK about his mental health and the “family stuff” behind it, describing one stretch when he “just didn’t see a way out” and understood suicide as “just looking for relief from the pain.”
Knox and his twin sister Vivienne turned 18 on July 12, the age at which Angelina Jolie has said her custody agreement with Pitt ends.
Knox dropped Pitt’s last name from his high school diploma at his graduation in June, following his five siblings in distancing from their father, who hasn’t been publicly pictured with his kids since the 2016 split.
