Reform UK has dropped two of its election candidates and suspended a third after a Mail on Sunday investigation uncovered a series of offensive remarks – including the suggestion that 'brown babies' came from a particular sex act.

Pete Addis, who was standing in South Shropshire, has posted a slew of offensive material in recent years, including calling for Sir David Attenborough to be 'killed off' and being banned from Facebook for 30 days for using the racial slur 'ch**ky'.

Mr Addis has also shared sexist remarks such as calling Labour frontbencher Angela Rayner a 'slag' and a 'trollop', and telling journalist Ava Evans that 'I'd s**g you' after a 'few more' pints of beer.

In perhaps his most vulgar outburst, the refrigeration company director said in December 2022: 'B*m s*x, this is where brown babies come from!'

The investigation also unearthed comments by Amodio Amato, running for the Stevenage seat, who has declared London is an 'Islamic State' and that there would be 'a Muslim army run by Sadiq Khan '

Iris Leask, 69, representing Reform in West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine, has bizarrely called for meat-eaters to 'eat other humans' and for the human race to be 'obliterated'

The investigation also unearthed comments by Amodio Amato, running for the Stevenage seat, who has declared London is an 'Islamic State' and that there would be 'a Muslim army run by Sadiq Khan'.

The semi-retired mechanical engineer, 69, has also said that Scotland's First Minister Humza Yousaf is 'most certainly a Hamas terrorist supporter' and shared the conspiracy theory that Michelle Obama is 'a transvestite'.

And Iris Leask, 69, representing Reform in West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine, has bizarrely called for meat-eaters to 'eat other humans' and for the human race to be 'obliterated'.

The computer company director has also said that former defence secretary Ben Wallace 'should be left to die' in Afghanistan and, in a separate post about pet evacuations from Kabul, said Mr Wallace should 'die with them' if the rescuers failed.

Last night, a Reform UK spokesman said: 'Amodio Amato and Pete Addis have been removed from their candidature with immediate effect, for comments that clearly breach any basic idea of decency. Iris Leask has been suspended pending further investigation.'

When Mr Addis was approached for comment by the MoS at his home in Ludlow, Shropshire, before his removal had been announced, he said he 'obviously' regretted making the remarks, adding: 'The trouble is that I write stuff and people take it literally, when it's a joke. It's just being silly really.'

When asked about his comments about Mr Attenborough, Mr Addis, 41, said: 'Well, I don't like the bloke'.

And when questioned about his 'ch**ky' remark, he said: 'There was nothing meant by it, it was because we had a lot of ch**kies, you know Chinese food when we were growing up, that wasn't intended to be racist, it was something my mum tagged me in to.'

Reform's candidate for Exmouth and Exeter East - Garry Sutherland. Sutherland was found guilty in June last year of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog by kicking it in a Dorset country lane and was banned from owning a dog for two years and told to pay £1,964 in compensation

Amelia Randall is standing in Herne Bay and Sandwich, in Kent. She is a self-proclaimed psychic fortune teller who sold spells for up to £200 on Facebook in 2019 while offering 'mystic psychic readings' for £14.99 on her now-deleted OnlyFans page

Yvette Maxwell-Darkes, the candidate for Swindon North, has expressed support for Tommy  Robinson, arguing that the convicted criminal 'has very good things to say' and that 'I actually like him ¿ he stands up and says things that most people think'

Jacqui Harris is the Reforme UK for the party in Kenilworth and Southam, in Warwickshire. She was suspended as a Tory councillor in 2019 over comments on Twitter in which she suggested that the anti-Semitism row within the Labour Party could be part of an Israeli conspiracy

Richard Brown - Reform's candidate in Harrogate and Knaresborough. Brown shared the false claim that doctors refused to treat Boris Johnson on the basis that he didn't have Covid, and claimed the pandemic was an 'illusion' that had been 'planned' by the Government 'since 2016'

Reform UK – the successor to Nigel Farage's Brexit Party – has enjoyed a surge in the polls which has led to panic in Downing Street that Mr Farage could make a dramatic political comeback.

But the party has come under fire in recent weeks amid the string of sackings of candidates over their activity on social media.

Today's revelations come after The Mail on Sunday last week published the details of candidates with questionable pasts.

They included Garry Sutherland, standing in the Exmouth and Exeter East constituency, who was found guilty in June last year of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog by kicking it in a Dorset country lane.

Amelia Randall, standing in Herne Bay and Sandwich, is a psychic fortune teller who sold tarot card readings on the website OnlyFans, which predominantly makes its money from selling amateur pornography.
