The 81st Venice Film Festival played host to the great and good of Hollywood as the stars descended upon the Italian city to showcase their latest movies and TV projects.

But while the likes of Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett dazzled on the red carpet in promotion of their work, they were rather outshone by one Taylor Russell who took the premieres by storm.

Indeed, despite not starring in a single one of the movies on show during the events, Harry Styles' ex girlfriend made waves at many of the star-studded screenings, stealing the spotlight with a number of jaw-dropping ensembles. 

Despite having a flourishing film career herself, it was the Canadian actress' fashion sense that had everyone talking, with the beauty turning heads in sweeping gowns and flesh-flashing ensembles.

As the annual festival nears its closing days, MailOnline takes a look at Taylor's sensational fashion parade as she shows the One Direction hunk exactly what he's missing...

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere 

Kicking off her Venice Film Festival takeover on Wednesday, 28 August, Taylor put on a racy display as she hit the red carpet in a see-through white corset dress.

The Canadian beauty made sure all eyes were on her as she stepped out in a daring and dramatic gown.

Her glamorous ensemble featured a clear corset with panelling and flower detailing on the top half, before billowing out into a ruffled skirt and long train.

Taylor added inches to her height with a pair of white pointy heels and elevated her natural beauty with a flawless palette of makeup.

She looked nothing short of sensational as she completed her red carpet look with sparkling silver earrings and rings to match.

Maria premiere

It's not an easy feat outshining Angelina Jolie on the red carpet but Taylor certainly gave it a go the next day as she commanded attention in a glamorous cream midi dress at the Maria premiere. 

She looked incredible in the strapless number which boasted a figure hugging ruched bodice and cascaded down into a long skirt. 

Taylor posed up a storm on the star-studded red carpet as she wore the train of her eye catching skirt as a neck scarf. 

Styling her dark tresses in a neat up do, the ex-girlfriend of singer Harry Styles added inches to her frame in a pair of towering heels. 

She accessorised with a dazzling chunky bracelet and opted for a pair of coordinated stud earrings. 

The Room Next Door premiere

Taylor once again put on a dazzling display as she rubbed shoulders with Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton at the premiere of their film on September 2. 

The model showed off her toned tummy in an elegant white outfit as she strutted down the red carpet in a crisp vest and pleated skirt set.

The Lost in Space star struck a confident pose and kept out of the light drizzle by clutching onto a bright red umbrella.

Taylor rocked a dark pixie cut and styled out the whole look with a pair of white high heels.   

In terms of makeup, the actress kept things natural and was all smiles as she put on a cheery display at the glamorous event.

Queer premiere

Continuing her fashion parade, the following day Taylor caught the eye as she posed up a storm at the Queer premiere.

The Canadian actress put on a leggy display in a black silk thigh-split dress at the event to celebrate the film which stars Daniel Craig.

The sleek number which featured sexy, sheer lace detailing also had an in-built cape to add a touch more glamour.

She boosted her height with matching black pointy heels and opted for a sleek and natural makeup look to show off her pretty features.

Meanwhile, away from the premieres, Taylor also ensured she dressed to impress as she attended other events during Venice Film Festival. 

On the same day as the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice screening, Taylor wowed in a sharp grey skirt suit as she Luigi De Laurentiis Venice Award for a Debut Film, where she served on the jury.

On Wednesday, Taylor nailed city chic in a black belted mac dress at the Liberatum Women in Creativity Gala.

As well as her acting career and fashion prowess, Taylor is known for her former relationship with singer Harry Styles.

She was reported to have split from the Watermelon Sugar singer, also 30, in May after a year together, although this was never confirmed. 

However, she recently set tongues wagging as she was spotted strolling around his beloved Hampstead this week. 

It is unknown whether the pair are back together after they were thought to have previously split in May following a 'make or break' holiday and haven't been spotted together since.
