Miranda Kerr joined the wildest Met Gala after party in town on Monday night. 

The Australian supermodel attended Baz Luhrmann's iconic shindig at Monsieur in New York with her husband Evan Spiegel on her arm. 

The 43-year-old commanded attention in a taupe gown consisting of a corseted bodice with contrasting sequinned lace. 

The skirt included a daring thigh-high split and a gathered portion, from which dangled a glistening ribbon. 

Miranda added a pair of strappy heels in silver, decorated with rhinestones that matched her jewellery. 

She finished the look with dangling diamond earrings and a tennis bracelet. 

For makeup, Miranda chose a clean and rosy look with a pink lip gloss, while wearing her brunette locks down around her shoulders. 

Snapchat CEO Evan, 35, kept things simple in a plain black T-shirt, jeans and sneakers. 

Luhrmann's party is known as one of the wildest of the season, with the Australian director hosting alongside his wife, Catherine Martin. 

Miranda and Evan celebrated with a whole host of celebrities, including Jasmine Tookes. 

Earlier on Monday evening, Miranda exuded her trademark elegance and style on the red carpet at the Met Gala. 

The Sydney-born model kept her look in line with the event's theme, Fashion is Art, stepping out in an all-white ensemble that mixed structured tailoring with couture detailing.

Miranda wowed in a floor-length design that featured a structured peplum bodice. 

The piece was heavily detailed with textured fabric work, including 3D floral appliqués and fringe elements throughout the design, while a halter neckline completed the look, finished with floral detailing.

She paired the outfit with crystal-embellished heels, which were only briefly visible beneath the flowing hemline.

Meanwhile, Miranda's hair was styled in a sleek updo, while her makeup remained classic and polished, with defined brows and a luminous base.

Miranda was joined by her billionaire businessman husband Evan, who looked the epitome of elegance in a classic tuxedo.  

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, also known as the Met Gala, falls on the first Monday in May every year.

The theme of this year's event - widely considered the Super Bowl of celebrity red carpets was 'Fashion is Art.'

The dress code calls on the A-list attendees to explore how designers use the human body as a blank canvas.
