Katie Ledecky's family have released a throwback photo of her alongside her idol Michael Phelps when she was just a nine-year-old swimming hopeful.
The cute snap, taken 10 years ago, shows a grinning Ledecky holding a swimming cap as she stands next to the world's most successful Olympian while getting his autograph.
Now Ledecky is signing autographs of her own after earning 14 golds for the 14 finals she has raced in Olympic and other events.

On Tuesday, the 19-year-old took gold in the women's 200m freestyle final in Rio, while Phelps won the 200m butterfly and led Team USA to victory in the 4x200m freestyle relay.
'I went on auto control when I dove in,' Ledecky said after her win. 'I saw I had the lead and I wasn’t going to let it go.
'I knew I had to dig really deep, and that’s the closest I’ve come to having to throw up in the middle of a race.'
She won a her first Olympic gold at London 2012 when she was 15 years old.
This is her second gold in Rio.

In 2015, she became the first swimmer to win the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle titles in a single world championship.
The conquest became known as the 'Ledecky Slam.'
On Tuesday, an adorable video emerged of Ledecky as a 16-month-old baby on NBC's Today Show.
In the clip, weather anchor Al Roker approaches Ledecky's mother in New York after spotting a 'cute baby' in the crowd and asks, 'Where is this little one from?'.

The future swimmer is wearing tiny sneakers, floral pants and a cute baseball cap, showing her sporty side even as an infant.
Her mother Mary Gen, who once swam for the University of New Mexico, replied, 'She's from Maryland, she's 16 months', as she introduced her young children as Katie and Michael Ledecky.
The clip, filmed in 1998, surfaced after the Today Show shared it on Twitter on Monday in response to the athlete's Olympic endeavors.

Ledecky's elder brother Michael showed Roker his cuddly toy and declared: 'I have a mouse and I named him City Mouse'.
'Can we say hi to our grandparents in North Dakota? And over in Fifth Avenue we have a grandmother there that we want to say hello to,' Ledecky's mother added, as she waved her little girl's hands.
Ledecky crushed her world record in the 400m freestyle to win gold and jump-start a potentially historic Rio campaign on Sunday.
