Jorge Masvidal has vowed to legally 'f****** murder' Colby Covington if the pair face off in a rematch in the UFC.
Back in 2022, Masvidal and Covington shared the octagon in a huge grudge match at UFC 272 as the former friends turned enemies put on a show in Las Vegas.
It was Covington who came out on top in March as the fight went the distance in Nevada.
With talk of a potential rematch, Masvidal has delivered his verdict as he believes that he would have the better of his bitter rival.
'I didn't get him that time (at UFC 272), but I promise you: Before my career's over, I'm gonna f******* murder Colby in the cage. Legally,' Masvidal said on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast
'Allegedly a lot of things happened (illegally). I don't know, they're saying a lot of things, but it's all allegedly.

Masvidal lost to Covington at UFC 272 last year but insists he would win a rematch
'S***, man. I don't know what they're talking about, man. But legally, in the cage, in the UFC, I'm gonna f*cking snatch his soul one way or another.'
Just three weeks after their initial fight, Masvidal was charged with felon battery for 'sucker punching' Covington and 'breaking his tooth' in Miami.
With unfinished business on both sides, they could return to the octagon once again and fans of the UFC will be keen to see the rematch, with Masvidal confident of coming out on top if they face off again.
'I wanted to f****** kill him, I wanted to hurt him,' Masvidal continued when asked about UFC 272.
Masvidal told Joe Rogan that he believes he must beat Covington before retiring from the UFC
'It just wasn't the best version of me. In this sport – it's what I love about it – what happened happened, and everything else is b******, right?
'So, until we fight again, nobody will get to see that better version of me. But I promise you, before I close this chapter in my life in MMA, I will have competed against this guy and I'm gonna f****** take his soul.
'I just know it after being those five rounds in there with him and that was the best that he had and I was nowhere near my best at that time for different reasons. I know I could f*cking end this guy.'
It remains to be seen as to whether the former friends will face off again but Masvidal is confident of walking away with a victory if they are to fight in the future.
