She was left disappointed when Michael failed to follow her out of the villa.

However Joanna Chimonides soon had a smile back on her face when Love Island alum Jack Fowler swept her off her feet as she arrived back in the UK on Wednesday.

The Love Island star, 22, jumped into Jack's arms and straddled his body as he arrived at the airport to meet her after touching down from Mallorca.

The reality star, who was casually-clad in a pair of red sweatpants and a black vest top, beamed as she affectionately touched Jack's face in the terminal.

Fans speculated on social media that there could be a romance brewing between the two, after her love interest Michael appears to have turned his head for former flame Amber. 

One social media user wrote: 'Joanna and Jack??? Well the plot thickens.' 

Another said: 'Joanna has literally just landed in the UK and she's already with Jack Fowler from last year??? These Islanders move quick. #loveisland'

However eagle-eyed fans noticed that both Joanna and Jack are signed to the same management and were pals before she entered the villa.

Upon leaving the show, Joanna told Michael if he had 'found everything he was looking for' then he should leave the villa with her. 

However Michael decided to stay in the villa claiming that it was a 'test' and if he and Joanna were meant to be then they would still make it on the outside regardless.

Michael will be further tested on Wednesday night, as he finally confesses he still has feelings for his ex Amber Gill, 21  – just days after Joanna's exit.

Michael claimed for weeks that he was happy with Joanna - and even continued to do so following her departure - but his co-stars weren’t convinced.

The Liverpudlian hunk also admits to the Jordan, Ovie and Curtis in a fireside chat that he still likes Amber, explaining that after having a few days without Joanna he's had time to reflect.
