Alexa Chung looked confident in a baggy beige suit at Max Mara Resort in Max Mara Resort in Venice on Tuesday.

The TV presenter, 40, stood with her arms straight down by her side at the annual fashion event in the Italian city.

The suit featured six matching buttons and embellished the look with an extravagant baby white flower which she hung upon her lapel.

In terms of makeup, Alexa opted for a natural look except for a slick of red lipstick and painted cheeks.

She let her dark red locks hang freely around her shoulders as she gave a smouldering look to the camera.  

In a second pose that also oozed confidence, Alexa stuck one hand up on her hip and almost gave a thumbs up with her other hand.

Later, the former MTV star posed up a storm outside as well.

She  showed off a small ring on her right hand when she went to tuck some of her hair behind her ear.

Alexa styled the whole look out with a pair of simple but smart leather shoes.

The star was just one of several famous faces to arrive at the fashion house's event.

Brie Larson put on a leggy display in a little black dress and let her blonde locks flow free.

By contrast, Hollywood actress Kate Hudson opted for a long black dress that she playfully stuck one leg out of.

She gave a big grin that showed off her glowing complexion and accessorised with a pair of blue floral earrings. 

The location of the annual fashion event  is often kept under wraps until this last minute.

This time, the house described the location as an 'eternally beautiful city, so often represented as a woman embodying justice, harmony, power, progress, loyalty and grace is the perfect location.'
