Alicia Vikander, Alexa Chung, and Tom Sturridge were dressed to impress as they arrived at Venice airport on Saturday, ahead of day four of the city's glamorous film festival. 

Swedish actress Alicia, 36, turned heads in a chic grey trench coat as security escorted her through the airport. 

Beneath the coat, she wore a stylish white dress with delicate lace trims and opted for comfy black leather ballet flats. 

To complete the look, Alicia accessorised with a grey cross-body bag and trendy black sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Alexa, 41, showed off her fashion credentials in a brown leather bomber jacket as she walked hand-in-hand with fiancé Tom Sturridge, 39. 

Layering up for the flight, Alexa paired the jacket with a pale yellow button-up shirt and a classic white T-shirt. 

She styled the look with black, tailored high-waisted trousers featuring a flared leg and black leather loafers. 

To complete her ensemble, she toted her essentials in a black leather Gimaguas tote bag and sported oversized black shades. 

Tom, known for his impeccable sense of style, kept it cool in a black leather jacket and a soft baby blue shirt. 

He paired his look with grey pinstripe trousers and black leather shoes, accessorising with a rucksack. 

Alicia and Tom star in Oliver Assayas' topical drama The Wizard of the Kremlin which ill world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this weekend.

The film revolves around a scheming Russian spin doctor who aids Vladimir Putin's rise to power in the 1990s,

Earlier this week, Deadline unveiled a first-look clip of Paul Dano, 41, in the lead role of Vadim Baranov - an avant-garde artist turned reality TV producer, who becomes an unofficial advisor to the ex-KGB agent as he climbs the political ladder.

The political thriller boasts a star-studded cast, including Jude Law as Putin, Alicia as Baranov's beautiful wife Ksenia, and Will Keen as the real-life late oligarch Boris Berezovsky. Jeffrey Wright and Tom also feature in supporting roles. 

Adapted by Assayas and award-winning writer Emmanuel Carrère from Giuliano da Empoli's 2022 novel, The Wizard of the Kremlin is inspired by the career of Putin's real-life long-term advisor and spin doctor, Vladislav Surkov.

'I knew nothing about the process that brought Putin to power – and I found it utterly compelling,' Assayas says in his director's notes. 

'I was unaware of Vladislav Surkov, who served as one inspiration for Baranov, even though the two men cannot be mistaken for one another. Surkov is obnoxious; our Baranov, while complicit in the worst actions of the regime and somewhat perverse, retains a certain humanity.'

The director also praised Paul's performance, highlighting the actor's nuance and attention to detail. 

He said: 'With Paul, every take is right – and in some way, each one tells a slightly different story, as if his work consisted in offering the director a kaleidoscope of choices that spans the entire emotional range of the scene.' 

The Wizard of the Kremlin is slated for release on January 21, 2026.
