Beyoncé has officially reached billionaire status, cementing her place as one of the most powerful figures in modern music and joining an extraordinarily small group of artists to cross the coveted ten-figure threshold.

According to Forbes, the 44-year-old superstar is now one of just five musicians to achieve billionaire status, alongside her husband Jay-Z, who has an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.

The milestone comes after a period of extraordinary reinvention for Beyoncé, whose career continues to evolve more than two decades after she first rose to fame.

While her 2023 Renaissance World Tour was already considered a career high - grossing nearly $600 million and becoming one of the highest-earning tours in history - the following year saw her take an unexpected creative turn.

In 2024, Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter, her first country album that opened new commercial doors, including a high-profile NFL Christmas Day halftime performance and what would go on to become the world's highest-grossing concert tour of 2025.

The combined impact of those ventures ultimately pushed her net worth into billionaire territory.

Forbes noted that Beyoncé joins a growing wave of ultra-wealthy entertainers, with nearly half of the 22 billionaire entertainers identified by the publication to have achieved the feat in the past three years.

Much of Beyoncé's wealth can be traced back to a pivotal business decision made more than a decade ago.

In 2010, she founded Parkwood Entertainment, bringing nearly every aspect of her career under her own control.

'When I decided to manage myself, it was important that I didn't go to some big management company,' Beyoncé said during a 2013 interview promoting her self-titled album, Beyoncé.

'I felt like I wanted to follow the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire and show other women when you get to this point in your career you don't have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success - you do it yourself.'

While the singer has expanded into several celebrity-backed ventures, Forbes reported that the majority of her fortune still stems from music.

By maintaining ownership of her master recordings and touring at a global scale, Beyoncé has continued to generate outsized returns from her catalog.

In her only interview about the tour, published in Pollstar's year-end issue earlier this month, the superstar pulled back the curtain on overcoming weeks of sluggish ticket sales and early technical difficulties.

'This was born from my love and respect for the rich country genre,' Beyoncé explained. 'The overall intention for this tour was to celebrate American resiliency.'

Beyoncé has finally addressed the vision behind her history-making Cowboy Carter tour after it shattered records to become the highest-grossing country tour ever; seen in July 2025

The mother-of-three went on to reflect on how the tour was deeply rooted in her Texas upbringing and her long-standing mission to preserve the overlooked history of Black cowboys.

'We showcased many aspects of my upbringing in Texas, like the salon in honor of my mother's hair salon I grew up in, and the saloon honoring my great-grandfather who sold moonshine in Alabama,' she said.

'I was inspired by the Texas Lone Star and the art town of Marfa - a fusion of futurism from Renaissance with the golden maximalism of Cowboy Carter.'

Beyoncé also noted that she believes 'the stage is a piece of art' and 'its own icon.'

She described months, and in some cases years, of collaboration across every department, obsessing over sound design, lighting, choreography, visuals and camera angles to ensure that every fan, even those seated high in stadium rafters, felt immersed.

'I care deeply about every sound,' Beyoncé added. 'We arrange and rearrange each song, visual edit, prop, and choreo piece until we get it to the best place we can. I push until I feel the soul in every element.'

The result was a tour packed with headline-making moments, including surprise appearances from her husband Jay-z, Destiny's Child, Shaboozey and Miley Cyrus, along with emotional on-stage cameos by her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi.

After a rocky launch marked by unsold seats and last-minute price drops, Beyoncé kicked off her five-night run at SoFi Stadium.

The five shows ended up grossing a record $55.7 million.

According to Billboard, the singer sold 217,000 tickets, surpassing major tours by Shakira and Coldplay.

It also ranks as the fifth-highest-grossing tour stop in Boxscore history and the highest-grossing single-venue engagement ever by a female artist.

'I've been touring since the age of fifteen, nonstop,' she reflected. 'I have slowly built my legacy brick by brick. This show is a testament to the power of consistency and dedication to any craft.'

She recalled early tours in minivans, muddy costume changes, designing her own outfits when designers wouldn't, and years spent convincing promoters that an R&B artist could sell out stadiums.

'I learned at a young age that nobody invests in you like you invest in yourself,' she said.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé told GQ that future touring decisions will be shaped largely by her family life, explaining that she prefers to tour only while her children are not in school; pictured earlier this year

Looking ahead, Beyoncé believes Cowboy Carter's impact on country music is only beginning.

'In ten years, the young girls and boys who saw the show will become adults who believe they can be respected as country stars and sing whatever music they love,' she said. 'That makes me proud.'

Earlier this year, Beyoncé told GQ that future touring decisions will be shaped largely by her family life, explaining that she prefers to tour only while her children are not in school.

'I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family,' she said. 'No amount of money is worth my peace.'
