TOKYO, August 12. /TASS/. The missile launched by North Korea, presumably a ballistic missile, fell outside Japan's exclusive economic zone in the Sea of Japan, the Kyodo news agency reported.

According to a source in the country's Defense Ministry, no information about damage to vessels in the region has been received. At the same time, the Japan Coast Guard called on vessels in the region not to approach any missile debris they might find and to immediately contact Japanese authorities.

The previous missile launch by Pyongyang took place on August 6; the missile launched at that time also fell outside Japan's EEZ.
