Demi Lovato wound down her weekend by heading over to check out the Broadway musical play & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best New Musical, the performance features an array of pop hits from the likes of Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys, The Weeknd and Lovato, who just this past September was overjoyed over the prospect of having a song on Broadway.

After the show the songstress was spotted making her way to a dinner date with friends at the popular Japanese restaurant, Nobu.

Lovato, 31, looked stylish in flared blue jeans and a shiny black top underneath a waist-long black leather jacket.

She also wore a pair of platform boots while carrying a small bag.

Rounding out her overall look, the This Is Me artist had her raven tresses styled long, straight and flowing down past her shoulders with a part on the slight left.

'I can't believe one of my songs is on Broadway,' Lovato shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on September 15, 2023, in a reference to Confident. 

Lovato has released eight studio albums throughout her musical career, all of which debuted in top top-10 of the Billboard 200 chart. 

Most recently, the Albuquerque, New Mexico native dropped Holy F**k (2022), which has been described as a mix of pop punk and hard rock with touches of glam and metal, marking her return to her more rockin' first two studio albums Don't Forget (2008) and Here We Go Again (2009). 

The Holy F**k album, featuring the singles Skin Of My Teeth, Substance and 29, debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200, while also topping the Billboard Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts 

In support of the album, Lovato also embarked on the Holy F**k Tour, which kicked off with a couple of shows on August 13 and 14 in Springfield, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa, before heading to South America the rest of that month.

After returning to North America in September, she proceeded to make the rounds across the U.S, with a couple of stops in Toronto and Montreal Canada, until wrapping the tour up with a couple shows in Detroit and Rosemont, Michigan in mid-November.

Since then, the singer-songwriter has continued on with her more rock sound with various singles she released the last couple of years that includes Still Alive, a standalone promotional single for the slasher film Scream VI in early March. 

Lovato has also released rock versions of some of her previous top 20 hits such as Heart Attack, Cool For The Summer and Sorry Not Sorry, which featured Guns 'N' Roses icon Slash on guitar. 

That would lead her to releasing her first rock remix album, Revamped, this past September that features 10 re-recordings of previous songs in a more rock format. 

Next up, Lovato is set to sing on a blues cover version of Papa Was A Rollin' Stone with Slash for his second solo studio album, Orgy Of The Damned, slated to drop in May.

 In another sign of her desire to branch out with her creative interests, Lovato is set to star with Rose Byrne, Dominic Sessain and Ariana DeBose in the new film Tow.

The production marks the Grammy nominee's first dramatic role in a feature film, which is being directed by Stephanie Laing, who's working from a screenplay by Jonathan Keasey, Brant Boivin and Annie Weisman.

The drama will center on a real-life woman living on the streets, Amanda Ogle (Byrne), who fought her way out of tow-company hell in Seattle through the courts to reclaim her old car and life after receiving a tow bill for $21,634, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Laing previously described Ogle as 'a true champion' and her story as one of 'tenacity and perseverance,' as reported by Deadline.
