The Weeknd's manager Amir 'Cash XO' Esmailian endured a terrifying ordeal outside his home in the Amestoy Estates area of Encino on Monday. 

One of the 40-year-old talent manager's security guards is in 'critical condition' after he was shot multiple times following an run-in with 'three males wearing hoodies and masks who had made their way onto the $12 million property' during the wee hours.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the wounded security guard 'heard gunshots and realized he was wounded' shortly after 'engaging the suspects' around 2:25 a.m. 

The guard, whose identity has not been made public, was rushed to the hospital to treat his injuries. 

DailyMail.com has reached out for comment, but has not heard back, at this time. 

According to Fox 11, the guard 'was taken into surgery and is expected to survive.' 

At the time, 'investigators said at least four people were inside the home at the time of the shooting.' 

A neighbor told KTLA that violent incidents, like this, are rare in the area.

'I'm sure whatever happened here was captured on the security camera,' she said. 'Unfortunately, that can bring danger with it, too.' 

Esmailian's seven-bedroom home, which is currently on the market, reportedly boasts nine bathrooms, a 'state-of-the-art security system' and indoor pool.

Other amenities inside the mansion, located on a 34,000 square-foot, include two temperature-controlled wine cellars, gym, theater and sauna. 

An insider also told TMZ that 'the shooting was a result of an attempted home invasion.'  

Police told the outlet that say the three unknown assailants fled the scene before the cops arrived and 'it's unknown whether they were wounded or not.' 

Esmailian, who is the co-founder of XO Records and the co-manager of the label's primary artist, singer the Weeknd, was reportedly left unharmed. 

In 2015, Esmailian was named to Billboard's 40 Under 40: Music's Young Power Players list. 

Esmailian works with some of the music industry's biggest artists, including Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert and Diddy.

Both Esmailian and his longtime client, The Weeknd, were recently dissed in rapper Drak's new track, Push Up, which came out earlier this month. 

Back in 2017, Cash XO opened up about his career and working with The Weeknd, who he explained was truly one-of-a-kind. 

'There's nothing like him,' he told Complex, before detailing how he not driven by having a fancy title or impressive LinkedIn page. 

'There's no job for any [XO] guys too big or small,' he said proudly. 'If something spills on the ground, no one's like, 'I'm not gonna pick it up 'cause it's not my job.' Whoever's closest gets it. That's the mentality with us.'
