A police patrol took a frightening turn early this morning when the service vehicle carrying four Manchester cops reportedly veered off the road, plunged into a yard and overturned in Spaldings, Clarendon.

The four officers, who are attached to the Manchester Police Division, were injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment.

Reports are that shortly after 5 a.m., the team was travelling along the Nine Miles main road while on routine patrol when the service vehicle reportedly lost control and ran off the roadway.

The vehicle then plunged into a yard situated below the main road and overturned, causing significant impact to the premises.

The crash also damaged the side of a house on the property.

All four officers were injured and subsequently transported to hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
