In March 2026, the Division Resurgence game officially launched on mobile devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Following its launch on mobile, this game developed by Ubisoft gathered over 1 million downloads on Android.

Now the game is once again making headlines following its official launch on Steam last week. This isn’t the game’s first appearance on PC, as in April 2026 the off-shoot game was made available in early access through Ubisoft’s Connect launcher.

However, its official launch on Steam brings the off-shooter game to millions of players who are already sharing their opinions on the game. If you played Division Resurgence on mobile at launch and want to experience it on PC, you can head to Steam now and play the game completely free.

Steam Users Have Differing Opinions On Division Resurgence

Just like every game that launches on Steam or any other gaming platform, Division Resurgence has now taken its seat before a panel of judges. Everybody has an opinion, and the opinions on Division Resurgence from Steam players are very polarizing.

Some are for the game and don’t mind playing, while others are dragging the game to the chopping block. One of the players on the party dragging Division Resurgence to the chopping block, username Coach-Aprax, outright referred to the game as being worse than a slop.

In the player’s exact words, “Calling it slop disrespects actual slop.” The player adds, “I’ve seen Korean gacha games with less microtransactions than this. This is scummy, even for a F2P. It has the most distracting, convoluted, overcomplicated on purpose and bad thought UI and menu design I’ve ever seen in a video game. You spend more time micromanaging than playing missions!”

Such strong opinions about the game come barely a week after the game became available for play on Steam. While this is enough time for some gamers to make a verdict about whether or not a game is considered a good play, the verdict is hard-hitting.

The Negative Reviews Are Piling

Considering that this game is free to play, one Steam user, IcyNightMedic, said: “Honestly.. just get the regular game you need to pay for.” The user’s reason for this statement is that the game is “a mobile port of the regular first Division game and the play style just overall sucks to deal with.”

To better understand this comment from IcyNightMedic, it is important that you first understand what Division Resurgence is all about. The Division Resurgence, which launched on mobile earlier this year, is based on The Division and The Division 2, which launched in 2016 and 2019, respectively.

While Division 2 is already available on Steam, playing it will cost players $11.99, hence making Division Resurgence a second choice for players not willing to pay to experience the game. Being free, it is natural to expect the game to make some sacrifices in terms of quality, hence making its gameplay experience comparable to the mobile game.

Considering the fact that the game is still new to Steam, Ubisoft might be able to take these negative reviews from players and make improvements to overall gameplay.

If you own a PC and want to better understand what all the fuss surrounding this game is, you can head to Steam and experience it for yourself. To do this, you’ll need a PC that runs Windows 11 and has a minimum 64-bit processor.

For your processing power, your PC will need at least an Intel i5-8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G; the PC’s memory capacity should be at least 8GB RAM. An Intel UHD 630 Integrated GPU or an AMD Vega 11 Integrated GPU are the minimum requirements to run this game.
