Apple has announced a new version of the iPad Air powered by the Apple M4 chip. The update focuses heavily on Apple’s in-house silicon, bringing notable improvements to performance, memory, and wireless connectivity.

For cellular models, Apple is transitioning to its in-house C1X modem, first introduced in the iPhone Air. Apple says the C1X delivers up to 30% lower energy usage compared to the M3 iPad Air, and improved efficiency for heavy 5G users
The New iPad also gains Apple’s N1 wireless chip, enabling WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support.
Apple also improved 5GHz WiFi performance and better reliability for features like AirDrop and Personal Hotspot.

iPad's storage remains at 128GB, with additional costs for higher storage tiers and cellular connectivity. Color options also remain unchanged: Space Gray, Blue, Purple, Starlight
