Silverchair today announced that the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) has selected ScholarOne Manuscripts as the manuscript management solution for its journal portfolio. FASEB’s publications will migrate to ScholarOne Manuscripts, giving FASEB’s editorial teams access to a modern, highly configurable peer review platform and an engaged client cohort.
FASEB is the leading coalition of biological and biomedical research societies in the United States, and its journals serve as important venues for research spanning the full spectrum of biology and biomedical sciences, whether it be basic, translational, pre-clinical, or early clinical research. The FASEB Journal, in publication for nearly four decades, has established a long record as a trusted venue for biomedical research. The implementation will give FASEB editorial teams access to a broad set of workflow capabilities.
ScholarOne Gateway — the unified, mobile-responsive dashboard that gives authors and reviewers a single view of their work across a portfolio — provides an improved author and reviewer experience, while ScholarOne Relay, the two-way API framework, connects a suite of research integrity tools directly into the editorial workflow, enabling automated screening at key decision points.
Since its acquisition by Silverchair, ScholarOne Manuscripts has accelerated improvements to workflows and user experience, prioritized the modernization of the underlying architecture, and prioritized the expansion of integrations with best-in-class partners. FASEB will also be welcomed into the ScholarOne community events and communications, which were recently recognized with an EPIC Award from the Society of Scholarly Publishing.
“Partnering with ScholarOne will provide FASEB the opportunity to improve overall experience for all stakeholders, as we work together to modernize our workflow,” said Chad McCormick, PhD, Associate Publisher at FASEB.
“FASEB has a long tradition of supporting biological and biomedical research, and their journals are trusted venues for work that matters across the life sciences,” said Will Schweitzer, Silverchair CEO. “We are looking forward to bringing ScholarOne Manuscripts’ workflow capabilities to their editorial teams and to building a relationship that can grow alongside FASEB’s publishing program as they grow.”
