Saronic Corsair USVs (the specific “drone ships” shown in the CENTCOM post) are estimated by hird-party analyses and contract reviews to cost about $1–1.2 million each. Saronic (founded by former Navy SEAL Dino Mavrookas) has ramped up production rapidly — hundreds built, with capacity scaling toward 1,000–2,000+ per year thanks to facilities in Austin, Texas, and an expanding shipyard in Franklin, Louisiana. The Corsair entered Navy service (Task Force 59) in early 2026 after a major production contract.

The Saronic Corsair is a 24-foot (≈7.3 m) autonomous/unmanned surface vessel (USV/ASV), roughly the size of a large speedboat. Its payload capacity is up to 1,000 lbs (≈453 kg) — suitable for explosives in one-way attack roles. The comparable in effect to dozens of Hellfire missiles.

Its range is over 1,000–1,150 nautical miles with a top speed of about 35+ knots.
