Homeowners with hard floors often find they need to vacuum, then steam or mop afterwards. It's a time-consuming process but there is a way consumers can make their cleaning routine much quicker

Shark sells a 3-in-1 HydroVac Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner that can vacuum, mop, and even clean itself. Usually priced at £329.99, it's currently on offer for £199.99 - a considerable saving of £130.

The HydroVac Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner removes wet and dry messes with powerful suction and hydro-mopping in one. It's an antibacterial brush-roll that cleans itself throughout the process.

The cordless cleaner promises an 'ultra-fast drying time' and has a battery life of 25 minutes. The appliance also comes with a complimentary bottle of multi-surface cleaning solution.

What's more, Shark's HydroVac Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner completes cleaning and vacuuming using one head; there's no swapping and changing for users. It also comes with a three-year guarantee when bought from the Shark Ninja website.

For other options, Hoover has an HF4 Hydro Wet & Dry, which is also on sale for £129, down from £299.99. The cordless cleaner has a Hydro nozzle that vacuums and mops in one go, and a 60-minute run time.

Households that don't have much hard flooring in their homes may prefer to buy a steam mop on its own. Lakeland has knocked £25 off its Duo 2-in-1 Steam Mop; it's now on sale for £49.99, down from £74.99.

Returning to Shark's HydroVac Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner, the appliance has 466 customer reviews and an overall rating of 4.2 out of five. One user said: "Finally, a mop and vacuum that actually works. I have bought multiple brands of these, and all have flaws, but this one blew me away. It is easy to set up. The solution leaves the floors looking clean, streak-free, dries in a super quick time and smells amazing. I have arthritis in my neck and shoulders, and this product has changed my life. Really easy to use and clean after use, I’m sitting here trying to think of a negative, but honestly, the best money I have spent."
