Crews were battling a fire involving multiple houses Wednesday afternoon in the central Las Vegas Valley.

The blaze was reported just before 2:25 p.m. in the area of West Charleston Boulevard and South Arville Street, according to a Las Vegas Fire & Rescue news release.

No injuries were reported.

Crews arrived to find a single-story structure on fire, with the fire having spread to a second home, fire officials said.

Samuel Leone, a New York-based artist currently on a road trip around the country painting national parks, said he was at a nearby art store when he saw the fire and rushed over to capture the scene.

“I saw a huge plume of black smoke,” Leone said. “You could see fire coming from the rooftop and firefighters climbing over (a ladder connected to the rooftop).”
